GETTING STARTED

Therapy involves a significant commitment of time, resources and energy. I recommend you take the time to determine if I am the best person to provide the services you need.  To this end, I have outlined the following steps:

1. We will have a brief exchange via email or phone to discuss your therapeutic needs.  If my areas of expertise appear to be a match, we will schedule a consultation.

 

2. In advance of our first meeting, I will email the intake forms.  Please complete and either email back to me or bring to our first session.

 

3. The consultation will take 1 to 3 sessions.  During this time, I will learn more about you, your history, your current needs and your goals.  You will develop some first impressions of me, our compatibility and how we might work together.  At the end of our consultation period, we will discuss your options and we will both consider if I am the best person to meet your clinical needs.  If either of us feels a referral to another therapist is necessary, I will provide several suggestions.
